Athens is the Capital of Greece with about 5M citizens. Among the beautiful and famous sights (such as Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, National Garden, etc.), there are many small pathways that lead to interesting neighborhoods. There, you can take a relaxing walk and enjoy the local hospitality.
Reaching any nearby attractions and the suburbs is simple, with the well organized Metro Network. There are three (3) Lines that connect the center of Athens with the National Airport, National Port of Piraeus and the rest of the suburbs.

Elliniko - Anthoupoli
Aghia Marina– Athens International Airport
Piraeus - Kifissia

The Athens International Airport is located out of the centre of Athens. The distance from the centre is about 30 km and the public transportation need 30 – 40 minutes to get there.
The airport is accessible via Metro Line 3 “Aghia Marina- Athens International Airport”.
Four bus routes connect directly Athens and Piraeus with the airport. All buses disembark passengers at the Departures Level and depart from the Arrivals Level, between Exits 4 and 5.

Taxi services are available at the airport and can offer transport directly to the ICALT 2014 Conference venue. There are flat, one-way rates for the trip from the airport to the venue which are:
35 € (if boarded the taxi by 00:00) or 50 € (if boarded the taxi after 00:00 and before 05:00).
