Meeting at the Abbey of Rolduc inclines a gathering on historical grounds. This impressive abbey complex, situated in Limburg close to the city of Kerkrade, was founded by Ailbertus van Antoing in 1104. Ever since the 12 th century, culture, science and religion go hand in hand. Witnesses of this period are still to be found in the beautiful abbey church, the crypt and the in rococo style decorated 18rh century library.
