Tour to the Yangmingshan National Park (http://www.cpami.gov.tw/ymsnp/ymshome1.htm) Yangmingshan National Park is renowned for its wealth of unusual volcanic features and topography. Being so accessible and close to Taipei City, the park attracts a very large number of visitors despite its small size compared to Taiwan 's other national parks. For this very reason it faces greater and more complex pressures for man-made development. Over the years the National Park Headquarters has put considerable energy into managing the park's resources, and has launched an educational and publicity effort aimed at creating a distinctive "small is beautiful" image for the park. Music Performance The National Taiwan Academy of Arts Experimental Chinese Orchestra (http://192.192.14.59/default.htm ) The National Chinese Orchestra was originated from the "National Taiwan Academy of Arts Experimental Chinese Orchestra", set up by the Ministry of Education in 1984 and basically attempting to focus on such academic research subjects as nation vs. culture, race vs. music, theory vs. practice, teaching vs. performance, etc. Therefore, it is referred to as being "experimental" in nature. Later, in order to carry out Chinese music related cultural activities under national art education development program of the Ministry of Education, and Art Festival held by the Council for Cultural Planning and Development, etc., the Executive Yuan approved the "Key Points of National Chinese Orchestra Setup" in 1990 to facilitate the operation. Then, from 1992 to 1994, it was further expanded to be a large racial symphony orchestra with 93 members. Relatively, the nature of the Orchestra goes beyond "experiment" and extends to a comprehensive Chinese music medium, endeavoring to collect, study, exchange, create, demonstrate, perform, record and produce final video product, and publish academic journal, etc. which are hard spiritual cultivation works, contributing to national cultural construction campaign. Therefore, the Orchestra has, through strict business administration, precision specialized training, loyal collaboration and strong ambition, created teamwork morale for continued self -upgrading, in order to fulfill the public prospect for the Orchestra in conformity with national class.
